Scoping v. Transcription

Hi:

I've been reading old posts and cannot seem to find this answer.  I am not an official "scopist."  I would consider myself a transcriptionist, but I am being asked to scope a EUO.  Do I just listen to the audio, make corrections to previous Word document, and fill in missed text?  Is it done in redline?  HELP!!  Thanks.
