Description: I am a freelance court reporter in Los Angeles, CA. I am looking for one to two more scopists/proofreaders. The main scopist that I was working with has gone back to reporting and isn't available as often as I need.
I prefer someone who has worked as a court reporter, will scope to audio word for word, if necessary on certain jobs, and has at least 5 years experience. I am a fairly new reporter -- 2 years -- and so it's important to me to work with someone who has experience as a reporter, as I am learning along the way myself. :)
The work I send out is usually transcripts that I need scoped audio word for word and then proofed, and some transcripts that I've edited and I just need them proofed, punctuation perfected, etc. I do get expedites and rough orders, on average, once every two weeks.
Last year I posted an ad, and I received way too many inquiries, it was so overwhelming. So please only reply if you fit the criteria mentioned above.
